Coarse Fishing in Dorset

Once beautifully landscaped, the two lakes which form part of West Compton Manor estate in West Dorset, are currently under going a refurbishment program to return them to their original condition.

The smaller top lake has an island close to the north west bank, with an overflow into the bottom lake and a dam separates the two.  The larger bottom lake is stocked with roach, rudd, tench and carp.

Coarse Fishing Syndicate

We have an organised fishing syndicate for which there is a joining fee and an annual membership fee.

The annual general meeting is coming up in September and we encourage all existing members to attend and any prospective members are also welcome.  We will be collecting the annual membership fee and will be discussing our future plans for the lakes and would be very interested to hear any ideas from members.

If you are interested in finding out more about the syndicate, please contact us.

Enjoying the Lakes

The lakes are available for all of the residents of West Compton and their guests to enjoy.  We often swim in the lakes in the summer and most dogs enjoy a paddle.  There is plenty of wildlife to admire on the banks and deer can often be spotted in the nearby copice at dusk.
